Diary entries chiefly relate movements of 13th Wisconsin Volunteers Regiment, 1861-1864, in Kansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama. Nine pen and ink drawings describe regiment's march from Fort Donelson, Tenn. to Columbia, Tenn. in late Aug. to early Sept. 1863.
